I have not been able to get readings on either engine w/ the schrader
valve out only hardly readable small pulses w. the air escaping from the
open schrader valve.
I am using a vacuum gage. 0" hg would equal 29.9" hg on a pressure gage
so the wot indications would be ok at 0"hg vac
Teflon slide is 3/8". form a gasket was used. I installed the throttle
body to see if it would eliminate the pulses which it did and any
question of leaking of the slide throttle.
Yes on the other engine I read 5500 rpm in flight at 155 ias 3000'. So I
was comparing the static to get an idea how it would perform in flight.
I am using a 2.10/1 psru. which had a long lead time and the info about
the 2.17 and 2.85 that I am aware of now was not known to me at time of
order.
Since the p port/ slide throttle extra hp comes from higher revs which
my set up is not capable due to the psru ratio and prop efficiencies I
guess I should reinstall the original engine.

You just said:
"The setup on the a/c now has a throttle body which is acting fine above
the 3000 rpm and giving steady expected vacuum readings of 10-0 "hg
3000-4600 rpm."
What exactly is: 10-0 "hg? That is not 29 inches of HG no matter how you slice it.
Do you mean 20 inches of Hg?
Take a picture of your compression gage for me.
Most people have no trouble reading the three pulses in a row.
What kind of airplane is this in?
What brand of 2.10/1 PSRU are you using? Where did you find
a 2.10/1 PSRU?
