O.K.  However, the vertical position of the engine is not important.
We can lower it below the upper cowl.   Many different auto engines
have been put on the 701.  But my favorite is the Harley.  The LSA
world is  vibrant and fun  compared with larger, faster
experimentals.   Jerry

Yep.  That is the problem.  However,  it looks cool and sounds
wonderful.  The builder has grounded himself because the vibration is

Probably for two reasons, ONE it probably needs balancing. I  balanced my
1200 cc and it ran beautifully without rubber engine mounts.
TWO, I don't suppose there is a dampener on the engine to soak up  the torque
pulses.
Paul, what's the torque reversals for a 2 cylinder - worse than a 4
cylinder?

Well the hog motor is strange. There is only on crank journal on the
shaft. It is sort of like a big one cylinder engine.
Probably fires the same as a one rotor. Once per rev.

Here are the 3D's. I lowered the engine. How much clearance will  you have
for the prop with a 3 inch lower thrust line?
