Have a 91 RX7 auto. We want to mix oil in the gas and disable the oil
injector. The computer doesn't like this. How do we fool it into
thinking everything is tickety-boo?

Does it have wires going into the apex seal oil metering pump?
If so I did not think that happened until 1993. If not how does it know? :)

There is at least one wire going to the stepper motor which is
connect to a so called position switch. If this is not connected to power
(I suspect) after sixty pulses are sent the computer thinks the pump is defective.
You need to hook the pump up and look at the wires and the output shaft to see what
happens when the computer is first turned on. There are at least four coil wires and one
sensing wire I think. Richard Sohn probably knows a lot more about this than me.

Down load the 3rd gen work shop manuals 1993 and later. On page D-15 there is some
info on this subject. The position sensor wire is wire E. When the pump is off
the engine this pin should show 1K to 2K ohms between the E pin and Vc.

I do not have any info on how to fool the MAZDA ecu, since I generally have
to deal with having an ecu with no out put for the OMP.
In switching to two stroke oil for car use, lots of drivers prefer to retain
the stock OMP setup to mixing, mainly to retain the higher oilflow in low
rpm/wot situations.
That includes rally and racing users.
