Just a quick note on mass airflow sensor sizing. You will want a MAF from an
engine that has at least as much horse power as you will be making. The
sensors rail their upper voltage at around 4.8 volts and then any higher
amount of airflow above the 4.8 volt level will not be measured. This will
cause a lean condition at all airflow levels above this voltage. The late
90's ford mustang V6 units may be a good choice. Some of them also have the
air inlet temp sensor built in to the mass air and would be convenient in
this application. As an alternate, a piece of aluminum tubing of the correct
diameter have a pad welded to it to accept the electronics of the late model
ford mass air units, such as the lightning part. The lightning part is much
larger than required for any 2 rotor engine, but the electronics of this
type can be used in any size tube to match the engine. The sensor
electronics is used on all 4.6 and 5.4 ford truck engines and should be very
cheap in the salvage yards. Just for reference, the lightning part is 90mm
in diameter and is good for around 600 hp before it peaks at 4.8 volts.
