It is a much more simple matter than you think to get a rotary to work in a harleyish frame.
If you point the exhaust and intake toward the rear tire you can bring the engine furthur
forward to the front down tube(s) but no so far forward that you cant mount a radiator to
them. This will put the e-shaft above where the traditional clutch basket has to go. If
you do a 1.5:1 to 2:1 belt/gear/chain reduction off the crank, you wont have to change
anything really. If you drive straight off the crank you will mess up all of the
forward/mid controls layout because of where the clutch basket ends up. No exhaust to
burn your legs either. You could wrap the throttle horn over the top of the engine
toward the front forks and get a nice charge of air coming off the front tire.
