$1425.00 for each end plate plus 1500.00 for eccentric set up from
Atkins and $150.00 for tension bolts comes to $4500.00 for an off the
shelf single rotor.  This compares favorably with Rotax and provides
the power to weight ratio the single rotor needs for LSA.

would be the max.  Can a lighter belt drive  be built?  For example,
copying Ken's drive, could .375" thick plates be substituted for the.
5 he used?  Can we use lightening holes and/or pockets in the
plates?  Aluminum drive sprocket?   Ken has warned against using a
narrower belt,  too bad, because those wide sprockets, are heavy and

Hi Jerry,
Have you investigated the pullies on the big, belt drive Harley  motorcycles?
They certainly deal with power in the range you need, but I don't  know what
material the large pulley is made from----could be heavy steel, but  it looks
to be about 10" dia.  Just a thought.             Dave M

Dave,  can you give me a bike model name so that I can do a parts
search?  I doubt that any Harley has turned 7000 rpm but, maybe, with
a smaller drive sprocket, it could  be made to work.          Jerry
