This week has been amazing for my single rotor. I now think all the
parts are available to purchase. This includes the the aluminum
side plates from RB, the Hirth G-40 gear box, the eccentric package
from Atkins. Intake will use an Aero Carb with gravity feed.
Everything but the ignition. I am open to suggestions. Thanks, Jerry

You are in luck. Gordon and I have been discussing and working on a magneto
that can either fit where the distributor used to be or on the accessory
side of the engine. Similar to what is found on snowmobiles or high
revving motorcycles, only stronger in output. You can double up on the unit
as well if you want redundancy or a longer duration in spark for alternative
fuels. Yes retard the spark for starting. Fire both plugs together for an
easy set-up. For the 13B I am thinking about the distributor location with a
two tier (two coils, four magnets arrangement) mounted in pairs at 0 and
180, and 90 and 270. Like Japanese city office workers the magnets only
work at half duty:) Oh yea the distributor turns 1/2 the rate as the
e-shaft but you knew that but I only just noticed I wrote it incorrectly in
a post to Paul last week.

A simple electronic circuit provide the inter-ruptor as you probably don't
want to play with mechanical points anymore.
