Good Morning group.

I've been considering creating a series of custom composite parts that
would take us one step further towards standardizing the rotary
installation.

To do this I would need to know how many of you are mounting your
radiators underneath, as is commonly seen in Paul's renderings here.  I
would then offer a standard scoop/duct combo that would be a simple
trace-cut-bond installation.

I am also planning on offering custom cowl work for non-standard
installations, but that will be billed hourly.

So, before I launch on this venture, help me out with a little bit of

Aircraft type
Motor Type
Radiator Mounting (where under the cowl you plan on putting it)
Stage of completion (how long till you will need your custom cowl parts)
Style - send a picture, or link, of the cowl inlet you most prefer. (no
high rez stuff)


I've attached some pix of a cowl I'm working on for a local RV-8
builder.  He went to the dark side and put in a Subaru (hey I tried to
convert him...)  The scoop is roughly 15 square inches and is feeding a
40 square inch radiator.  The other cowl is one we made for a Sits
Flut-R Bug w/ A-75.
