weights 53 lbs I took it in my arms and stepped on my bathroom

You may have problems with that shroud.  First, belts tend to whip a bit
at startup/shutdown, and you haven't left much room for them to do that
without hitting metal.  Second, I don't think your holes are going to be
enough to get rid of the waste heat from the belt.  Both will shorten
belt life.
