Paul,
I still am planning on leaving here on Thursday around noon or 1. should
take around 6.5 hours to get down, depending on how busy the CHP is.
Can you bring a copy of your book and the aluminum casting book to the
hangar for my evening reading pleasure?
The bell housing plug will get wet sanded in the morning and then 1 more
coat of shellac.
Thanks,
Larry
Sure Larry. You got to watch out for Ernesto around Santa Maria.
It sure looks great. I can hardly wait to get some castings.

Paul Lamar ...No rotor no motor.
Larry/Paul,
Very nice indeed!
If I were to do another one there are certainly good points I would borrow
from this design, especially the face is very strong and the reduction of
the back flange height leaving the mount points proud is a great idea in
weight savings. The Mazda flange is flatter and thicker with ribs extending.
Having ribs both internal and external reduce the need for high ribs one
side or the other (which are more difficult to mould) and provides good
channel thickness for aluminium to run to the thinner sections.
The face is where you need the strength and is obviously plenty strong
enough with this design.
Well done!
