Hey guys, this is the digital age!  :)

PC-based oscilloscopes.  Let me know if you get one - I want to know how
they *actually* perform.  I plan on getting one instead of a full-blown
bench-top oscilloscope.

That looks great Vince. The logic analyzer ought to come in real handy if
you are doing anything with single chippers. The portable aspects
are real important when traveling around as I usually carry a note
book computer anyway. I have two scopes already but I am really tempted.-- -- Paul Lamar ...No rotor no motor.

Yeah ... but Paul, did you see the part where it works with LINUX or
WINDOWS - your choice?  Did you see that it is an OPEN DESIGN?  Did you
notice that they used to be DIY kits, but the new versions are pre-built
with SMD devices?

- Digital Storage/Mixed Signal Oscilloscope
- Logic State Analyzer
- Spectrum Analyzer
- Data Recorder
- Waveform Generator
- with either USB -or- Ethernet connection to your PC/laptop.

I was considering a used handheld scope (like a Fluke, etc.), but these
are mighty tasty looking...

If anyone gets it, or already has one, please let us know if it is as
good as it sounds.

I missed the data recorder bit. Does it record serial ASCII data?
