BTW; Paul, another data point for your cooling system data bank is my
in-cowl and scoop. The second radiator in the wing root is doing
next to
nothing, yet my coolant temps are fine with one 11 x 16 x 2.5"
radiator, and
a somewhat P-51 style scoop. It needed internal vanes as well for
uniform
flow distribution through the core.

Bulent, Perry Mick and other are cooling fine with no vanes.
Vanes are WW I technology. They are very narrow band devices.
K & M discussed them in a narrow context having to do with
a wall too close to the back side of a core. Move the wall back
a bit and the vanes hurt. Kays & London ignored them completely.
It is far more important to have a properly designed diffuser and a
boundary
layer air bleed.

cooling too well.
