Al, my oil cooler has about the same duct as your radiator and is
cooling too well.
I think this is a big clue?

The devil is in the details on diffusers..  Getting "about the same as"
probably won't cut it.  That's why I am a proponent of wedge diffusers.  My
impression is that they are less picky about getting the right shape.  Or
getting the right shape is easier because of the relatively straight lines.

I did the body design on this car. It beat all comers at the BOAC 500
in Brands Hatch England about 1965. It set lap records all over Europe.
It still looks modern and would not be out of place on a race track
today. It uses two wedge shaped diffusers. One on each side I guess I was
ahead of my time :) Cooled 800 HP from 60 MPH to 220 MPH WOT.
