That aluminum Schertz beam does not look
strong enough.

Paul,
When I did stress calculations for the motor mount beam several years ago, I
could not find ANY standard available Aluminum shapes (that could fit in the
space) that would be strong enough. I don't have access to those
calculations where I am at the present, but that beam will almost certainly
fail if it is made from Aluminum.
