snips....
What is the section diameter of the inner TES O ring you are using?
Paul Lamar
So much for:
"Responding to every bit of mis-information on the web is an
impossible task.
If anyone wants to know what I am using, just ask."
I think Tracy is using .098" in section diameter which is too large.

Paul Lamar ...No rotor no motor.
As I stated in my original message (conveniently snipped) "I am using
the
same O-rings sold on my website" as opposed to your statement that I
was
not (also snipped).
As to questions about the O-rings themselves, I don't have the time or
willingness to disclose every specification, process, material, etc
that
goes into the products sold on my website (what company does?). If
this
bothers you, my advice is not to buy them.
As to Brian's complaints in earlier messages on the subject, I'll just
say
that of course it is possible that he got a defective O-ring. If it
happened, I am truly sorry and and we always offer a replacement when
that
happens. Without going over my records in detail (time is a factor
here,
sorry if that sounds arrogant to Brian), it has happened about 4 times
out
of the approximately 1800 sets sold during the past several years. The
problem is usually an O-ring that is slightly too short to easily fit
into
the groove. Although Paul's solution of streaching the O-ring slightly
does
work, we never expect the customer to do this unless they choose to.
We
gladly replace the O-ring.
The obvious question that comes to mind about Brian's situation is:
Why
would you continue to use a product you know to be defective for 3
years?
Again, sorry if that sounds arrogant.
Tracy Crook, RWS
That is what I thought. Your O-rings have too large a section diameter.
Paul Lamar ...No rotor no motor.
Tracy,
You guys are just too much!
"Defective o-ring"? Are you guys just completely ignoring everything
I'm saying or what? As I've stated already both in emails to Laura as
well as what I've posted here and in NoPistons, just *one* of the motors
I wrote about and posted pictures of had ALL FOUR o-rings splitting!
That's excluding the (now) 7 other engines I know of that are showing
symptoms due to the same damn problem!
LOOK AT THE PICTURES! THEY ALL SHOW THE SAME
PROBLEM!
And this snide comment about my time frame -- First off, it wasn't a
full
3 years that I used the o-ring kit. Secondly, when I became suspicious
that the o-rings were the cause of the symptoms I was beginning to see
in the summer of '06, I *discontinued use in Sept '06* as I've already
written to Laura in an email (twice). Besides, even if I did continue
use,
what in the heck difference would that make? Nothing. Trying to take
a poke at me and imply something, Tracy?
What is with you two? Could you two be possibly any more rude to me
by still continuing to disregard everything I've written? Terrific way
to
handle your customer service!!!
"Defective o-ring". Good grief alive!!

Mr. B,
Spark plugs don't come with directions
Paint doesn't come with directions
Gaskets don't come with directions nor exhaust pipes, mufflers,
starters, etc. etc. You either know how to install/use or you learn
how. You did not learn how to use/install the product. You made a
mistake. I for one am tired of listening to you try to blame someone
or everyone else for it.
Randy
I think you are missing some other key points Randy. It is not just
an installation issue. The question so far unanswered is; Were they the
right section diameter?
Paul Lamar
Randy,
Have you read the post on NoPistons.com by chance? Not only will you
see that I've had issue with several engines (all of them producing the same
failure mode), but you'll also see that I'm not the only person who's having
that same failure mode as well. I didn't make any mistake on this. Look
at the data, sir.
Be sick of me all you want. You don't have to listen to me if you don't
like,
but I'm the one who has the convenience of being able to pull over.
