I've spent the last hour on the net looking for coils  that will
        fire
two plugs simultaneously.  Maybe I'm phrasing the search
    wrong, but
so far I have found nothing.  I looked at all the  coils on
    the MSD
site.  There is very little description of the individual
        coils.  Can
most coils handle rotory rpm?     I would appreciate a
    point in the
             right direction.   Thanks,  Jerry

        Jerry,
Try motorcycle coils. many are dual lead. Also try using  "dual lead
secondary ignition coils" in your browser. there are plenty of
    them.
Several of the 4 cylinder Subarus also use dual lead coils.

I think most of those coils are for "wasted spark" systems.   Maybe look
    for that..

    Regards,

    Matt-

The V6 GM engines use a wasted spark system with 3 dual tower  coils.  I
ran my 20B on a test stand using a cobbled up ignition system with  three
Buick V-6 coils.  They're pretty cheap (< $10/ea).  I modified the CAS
by adding a third pickup, all equally spaced (120* apart).  Then I  used
3 early GM ignition trigger modules.  That along with a Holley 4- barrel
and we had liftoff.  It worked great.  I bought an EC-2 later on, and
that's what I'm using now.

Thanks Mark.   Excellent info.  Does the stock CAS  pick up 180º
apart.  If so could I use it to fire  a back up coil for the single
rotor?

FYI,  I emailed MSD and received the following response.

"Thank you for your interest in our products. A coil that has two
high tension outputs that fire simultaneously (Wasted spark coil) from
the MSD line of coils would be; PN.8204 or PN.8224, you can also use the
leading coil from any (1986-1991) second generation Rx-7."
