    Judging by the pic it has the 460 engine in it so that would be the big
    power whatever that is.

    That is not the actual truck. It just looked like that sort of. I
    think it was  a 303 V8 or some such.

    I checked my 1970s'  MOTOR Truck Repair Manual and for 1975, it
    shows for an engine Code of "G", V-8 302 cu in, 8 to 1 compression:

    135 hp @3600 rpm
    222 lb-ft @ 2000 rpm

    In that year,  Ford used the two bore carb on a 400 cu in engine
    rated at 180 hp

    If you can check the truck that the engine came from, the truck
    should  have Rating Plate which  gives the  engine code. (a letter)

I am on my way with the carb to the auto parts store and see if I can get a
kit for the 400 ci V8 engine.

BTW I suspect a lot of the extra circuits in a carb are to set the
mixture AUTOMATICALLY at car and truck constant speed loads of around 50 HP
for good MPG  on the freeway. We don't have that problem. We can set the
mixture manually at any cruise speed. At least I am hoping that is the case.
I can tell for sure right away on the dyno by monitoring the wide band mixture
sensor.
