I Think that Mistral as a startup company that could be a little shy to crank
as much cruise power (125 hp per rotor) from their engine as they use
now on WOT takeoff.

Though its likely worthwile to talk to them later, likely they don't have
problem selling us engine components as long as there's no logo
on it. (Bad for the press to take photos of when record-breaker plane's
prestigious FAA-approved engine pieces are all over the runway...)

On the other hand, for Racing Beat and Guru Racing this kind of mayhem
is business as usual :)

Please be more optimistic Petri. Rotary engines don't blow up :)
A 375 HP Mazda 3 rotor is a piece of cake. They run all day long
in road racing at that power level.

Paul and others.  Here is a post by a racer on the RX-7 P-port forum that
puts a lot of speculation to rest. As you have said many times and Crspeed.
confirmed, the tuning of the intake and exhaust manifolds are where the
gains are to be found.  BTW this racer's engine is NA.
