According to the chart that Paul posted, on a two rotor, the power
pulses
overlap so the torsional vibration amplitude should be less than a
four-cylinder, four-stroke piston engine but the frequency will be
the same
at the same rpm.

That is correct. Here is a chart I just scanned from old Curtiss
Wright papers.
This must have been a very large engine.

Just to add to the confusion, it is my understanding that the leading
coils fire twice per rotor face combustion event.
The leading coil is a two-post coil that fires both leading plugs
together in a wasted-spark configuration.
The trailing coils are two completely separate coils firing the trailing
plugs sequentially.
