 Does anybody know what units are in for air density in this formula
 if V is in feet per second. I'll settle for the metric units.

 I think it is in pounds per cubic inch which
 is .000046676 under standard conditions.

Here is what I get if it is in pounds per cubic inch and V is in feet
per second.

I added inches of water. If this is correct it illustrates why you
need a choke or primers and idle circuits in carbs. The venturi
pressure is not low enough to suck much fuel at low RPM.
Carbs and venturis are a major trade off with high power requirements.

Paul,
You have discovered the reason for the secondary venturi in the Weber.
The smaller secondary venturi provides low enough pressure at idle and
low throttle openings for the system to draw fuel. Think of it as a carb
within a carb. The emulsion tubes have varying height holes to change
where the systems change over from one system to the other. They are the
control for transition.

Yes and I am surprised that somebody has not come up with a mechanical solution
that supplies fuel directly as a function of MAP. EFI can do it.
I think I got it. Hang on. REAL simple. Way simpler than a Webber.
