This is a quick and dirty start to an X-plane simulation.
I took a O320 LongEZ, same engine, just added coaxial propellors driventhrough a transmission by the single engine. Not optimized yet, props
still fixed pitch.
It's really stable in level flight, unlike the original which tends to
fall off left or right (just like my real Long-EZ).
When I pull the nose up to zero airspeed it gets into this inverted deep
stall that is (so far) not recoverable, and loses altitude at only 1000fpm!
It will be very interesting to play with this model.

Perry have you ever come across a file converter which will allow you
to convert and install a standard Cad file into X plane? I've been looking
for a way to get my Iges and SW files into it w/ out having to remodel
them in the X plane modeler..

No but if you do, let me know. I'm still a novice Xplaner.

I'm not one to keep up with the latest computer hardware so I have to
run Xplane at work. My home computers are too old and slow.

I'm amazed at how accurate the (unmodified) Long-EZ model is to reality.
It gives me confidence that these changes are being modelled accurately.

Tomorrow I'm going to make the props constant speed. I definitely wasn't
getting full power out of the engine with that first fixed-pitch
attempt, especially at the low airspeeds. Engine RPM was low. I think
the change to constant speed will get it out of that deep stall mode. I
can keep adding power until the thrust to weight is greater than one. My
prop simulation showed we probably need about 300 HP while the O320 is
half that.
