There is an old classic book called "Your Wings" by Assen Jordanoff
published in 1940 that has a great explanations of how props function.
Here are a few charts. The illustrations are just great. I love
this old book.

The only thing missed was discussing blade stall during
the early stages of take off and how engine torque below
peak HP RPM affects blade stall RPM and that segment of performance.
