<This is a picture of the aluminum plugs I made for the oil injector
<holes and clamp to hold the two fuel injector plugs in.
<Does anybody know where the serial number is stamped on the Renesis
<engine?  I need it to get an "N" number for my plane. According to the
<RX7 manual (13B) the number is stamped on the left front side under the
<alternator but I have looked all over the Renesis and drew a blank.

Hi Karibian,
FWIW, unless you are actually ready to fly, "reserve" an N number rather
than "get" an N number cause the FAA will notify your state, who in turn
will notify your town, who will in turn notify you that TAXES ARE DUE ON
YOUR AIRCRAFT : )              Dave M

Exactly what happened to me in Michigan - In 1992 the State simply sent
me a "Use tax" bill for a $20,000 aircraft !!!  A KR2 back then nor
today never commands such a price. I called them, and they said they
plucked the price out of the sky to get money from me.  I gathered my
receipts showing which ones I had paid sales tax on and those w/o and
mailed them the copies along with the difference of about $32.
