Hi,

   I?ve stripped my 13B and now want to paint it before assembling it.
   Would I need a special high temperature paint or can I spray it with
   a normal 2 part paint?

I painted my engine with Chevy Orange engine paint that is available in
a spray can. You can just stack the iron parts and paint them all
at once, because all the machined surfaces "mask" each other,
and put something flat against where the front cover mates with the
front end houseing.

But, if I had to do it again, I'd get the cast iron parts powder
coated. I saw one that Hayes Rotary put together for a helicopter
project, it was silver powder coated, and it was really nice looking. I
don't recall if the aluminum parts are powder coated, maybe so. On mine,
I polished the aluminum.
