I'm still running the first prop I built when I installed the PSRU in
2004. I looked at what most O-235 Long-EZs had, and it tended to be
about 62" diameter and 68" pitch, so that is what I built. It started
out as a two-blade design but I had some unused prop bolts laying around
that were rather short, so I made it a 3-blade, narrower chord blades,
so the hub could be made thinner to accept the short bolts. It does seem
to be a pretty good compromize between climb and cruise, as both are
pretty good. However it is stalled terribly on the takeoff roll, makes a
lot of cavitation noise that finally goes away at 70 knots! The narrow
chord blades might be the problem. My static engine RPM is only around
4200 (1935), that increases to about 5000 (2300) at 80 knot rotation,
and is 5400 (2488) at 100 knot climb. Full throttle level flight max RPM
is 6400 (2950). Prop RPMs in parenthesis.

I've been working with the Vari-prop guys, they should have a prop
configured for test on my plane soon. I really do need a variable pitch
prop to shorten takeoff distance. I've flown out of SLC 4600MSL 80F a
few times with lots of fuel and it takes a big chunk of a 9000' runway
to get off the ground.
