The long-term practical limit is lower than the immediate practical
limit. I suspect that you can add enough 2-stroke to cause "immediate"
problems as you described (fouling, pre-ignition/detonation, etc.), but
you can have a problem long term if you add too much. Some of the excess
makes its way into the oil pan (via the oil scrapers), so long term
excessive use of 2-stroke will cause your oil pan to overflow. I think
Tracy has had "mysterious" oil level increases that he's attributed to
excessive premix.
