Looks like diesel trucks engines will be first. It is much harder to get
significant HP out of a cool diesel engine exhaust compared to
a hot gasoline engine exhaust.

Cars should not be far behind.
Where else will you get a 10 to 15% reduction in fuel burn
with something as simple a turbo charger turbine and a few
gears. You can have more power as well as less fuel burn.
The engine can be smaller and lighter for the same acceleration
saving overall weight and cost of the car.
