The Daytona 24 hour race is currently in progress.
We have 4 RX8's in the GT class. One may be out with a blown left   front
tire. The blown tire may have taken out the left front oil cooler.

Sylvan Tremblay and Nick Ham are currently leading the GT class
in an RX8 after two hours. Mostly Porsche's behind them. Probably ten
or fifteen :) The announcer is already whining about the RX8 being  the
lightest car in the race.

I have it recorded on Speed so it is delayed.

Paul Lamar ...No rotor no motor.

One of the Pontiac's will win in GT.  I have this from a source deep
inside Nascar.  Mazda was given the pole.  And the leading RX-8 has
run like a pig with Ham behind the wheel.

After eight hours the number 70 RX8 is right up at the front  alternating
between 1st, 2nd or 3rd. We have three other RX8's in the top 10
GT class. It must be embarrassing for Porsche to have a 15 year old
p-port Mazda rotary cast iron engine wipping their buts :) Porsche
redesigns the engine every couple of years with all sorts of exotic
materials.

The Pontiacs are no where and will blow before the race is over.:)

the GT class from No. 66 ANDY LALLY as the TRG machine pits for fuel.

LAP 416 (14:04:39) - GT CLASS LEAD CHANGE - No. 67 SPENCER PUMPELLY
pulls in to serve his penalty, giving the GT class lead to No. 70  NICK HAM.

LAP 419 (14:09:55) -  Top five in GT: No. 70 NICK HAM, No. 66 ANDY  LALLY,
No. 67 SPENCER PUMPELLY, No. 57 ROBIN LIDDELL and No. 69 EMIL  ASSENTATO.

It's live timing and scoring on www.grand-am.com.  It beats the info
you get on Speed, but Speed has better pictures.

Two hours left and the Lone Ranger (actually you'd have to call it a
B 4000 Reg Cab) has a  5-lap lead.  Maybe it would be fair to say
that Ham has given the pig a poke.  And all that talk about a GM car
winning GT was nothing but a lot of Ponti-yak.
