I don't know what program Andy used
to convert if from the TV video format to wmv. He was obviously able to load
the TV format off of his hard disk directly.

I hope to come up with a set of programs to do this whole thing reliably.

Now that you have Ulead's program, when you get a file loaded into the
timeline, like that boing-boing one, you can apply a multitude of video
filters to it (many more than the ones that were mentioned in the
programs that Clifton mentioned.  And each filter can be tweaked to get
it just right.

That's what I was doing, but, as you said, the options and settings are
so numerous that it takes an ungodly time to get it right.  And, it only
allows you to apply 5 filters at a time, then you save the file, so it
renders it, and load the saved file back in the edit mode to add more.


For converting from the NTSC video format (.bup. .ifo and .vob files) to
wmv, I used FreeDvdRipper to convert it to AVI, then input that into
Ulead to convert to WMV:

It would be a good thing if those movie star low grade morons did not make
quite so much money.

Loading them off the Samsung recorded DVD into Ulead does not appear to
be a problem for me now.
