I suppose you would be aghast at the idea of having the engine draw
intake air from within the cowling, vs having a dedicated cowl opening
ducted to the intake?  We're taking our cowling design cues from the
James Cowl & like the fact that the design of that cowl does not include
cheeks.  Absent adding cheeks, we don't have a way to provide combustion
air other than drawing it from inside the cowl.

Your thoughts?

Put a P38 or Me109 type scoop on it like Dave Leonards.
Or something like on of these 3D's.
