   The engine will be either a 13B or a Renesis. One thing you can do
   is take advantage of Paul's engine mount drawings when they are
   published.
   It would be nice if the 801 and the 640 shared "exactly"
   the same engine mounts. Unlikely unless they share the same firewall to
   prop flange distance. I would be interested in comparing the

   I believe that is the case. The 640 and the 801 empty weight and
   useful load
   are almost identical, and they share the same gear. I'll ask the
   factory to
   verify this, and let you know what they have to say.
   Unfortunately, I'll probably be using one of the rotamax engines, so
   that
   would be a completely different cat to skin.
   I have a complete set of plans for the 640. If you need to see any
   particular details let me know.

Yes, I'll do that tonight when I get home.
I just got off the phone with Zenair, and yes, everything that works on
the 801, works on the 640. The same mount for the lycoming IO-360 is
used on both aircraft. Only minor differences exist for baffling, as the
640 cowl is slightly different. So any configuration designed for one
works on the other, including the (certified) AMD Alurus 2000.
