Communication from Mistral Engines:

We indeed got a LOI (and draft lease) from Volusia County authorities
for a parcel
of land on Daytona Beach International Airport property to build our
propeller
engine-testing facility.  The press article below was correct until
early January.
Totally unexpectedly, Volusia County's Land Use Committee vetoed the
lease a few
weeks ago, leaving us with useless engineering and architect drawings
and a screwed-up
construction schedule.

We are now negotiating with the municipal authorities of another Florida
city a lease
for this facility, as well as for an assembly workshop.  If and when
contracts are
signed, I will keep you posted.

I can also announce you that we have hired as of January 1st 2008 a
full-time US
Operations Manager in the person of Dr Stephen Roth (aka Steve or Doc)
and plan to
hire more US employees during the course of the year.

Finally, I would like to apologize for not participating in this forum
as much as
I used to or wish.  With certification in sight, I just do not have the
time.

Thanks for the update Francois. Check out Massey Air ranch in Edgewater
just to the south of Daytona. No tower means you can get up and down
quicker :)
