Here is the story behind this piezo electric injector invention.

Mazda is using them in their diesel powered car and probably (I'm guessing)
in the new 16X, because the engineer I met at a recent show said the direct
injected rotary injector was made by Siemens.


Now I wonder why they are shooting straight down from the top rather than in
from the sides.  Room constraints probably because they are using oil
injectors above the port. That and perhaps they want to inject the fuel
AFTER the intake port and the air is compressed somewhat.  With the P-port I
believe I can inject the majority of the charge before the port closes.
Might be wrong so I am hedging my bet by going with a system that can inject
under higher pressures. Present electro-magnetic injectors were limited in
that way.
