This PSRU design is begging for severe crankshaft cracking
   problems.

Agreed. Top fuel cars have the outer bearing support for a reason. The
only problem is with this is the flywheel is so damn big he cant put a
normal support on it. Some sort of flange coming of the engine where
that bar with two bolts in it would be a good place to come from.
