I am building a turbo normalized rotary right now. I want to have it
totally completed in the next month. I am starting the engine mount this
next week and will be making the oil pan accordingly. How is the actual
S-Beam made. What material, etc. I appreciate any information you could
send my way. I am convinced the rotary engine is the best powerplant for
aircraft.
Also, what material and thickness is the oil pan aluminum?
I have read most of your information concerning your engine mounts. I
agree that the S-beam is the best way to mount the engine. I will
attach a picture of the engine I am mimicking regarding the turbo install.
I am only normalizing the engine. I want to start the S-beam today. What
are the dimensions on the bar. It looks like 3? wide or so. I have already
ordered the Barry mounts. They should be here in a
few days. Thank you very much for your help. I am mounting the
radiator behind the seat in the fuselage for C.G. reasons. Thank both of
you very much for all of the help!

Here are the dims Todd.
What kind of airplane are you building?
-
I am building a 2 seat Bradley HYMAT. It is an all metal kit plane that
builds in 200 hours. Start to finish. Ofcourse the motor assembly, etc is
extra time. But if you were installing a typical O-200 or VW, you can have
it built in about 200 hours.
You can go to our website in progress or the chat group for photos of the
aircraft models.
