My screen is divided up into four quadrants. Front, right, top, and
perspective view.
You draw in the right view as if it were a piece of paper.
You click on the top view and what you see is a line. You extrude
that line and voilą you have a solid. The solid immediately shows
up in the perspective view and the front view. You can rotate it
around to immediately see what it looks like.
This is what makes Rhino so easy to
use compared to Solid Works. If you can draw in 2D you can use Rhino.
I can draw in Rhino faster than I can in 2D paint or other
2D dwg programs because you don't have to draw all three views.
Rhino does it for you. It has some warts and the worst from my point
of view is it does not do fillets well. I am still using 3... so 4
may have fixed some of them.
