          Paul, et. al.

I haven't been the best at communicating lately, despite
    occasional
requests for information about my Lancair ES/ Mazda 20B.  I
    hope all
will be forgiven with the following YouTube video.  At least
    you will
get a preview of my original southwestern flavored paint scheme/
       cabin
interior, and hear the turboed 20B sound levels.

The video was shot by a good friend (EAA 658 Chapter President
       Dave Roy)
and posted to YouTube a couple days ago.  The introduction was
       hammed up
a little for our EAA Chapter program:

          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiT6ECqXZlE

The video was taken on a 93 F degree afternoon.  I've been
    idling the
          engine at about 1400 rpm with Tracy's RD-1B (2.17) six-pinion
       gearbox.
Taxiiing requires about 2000 rpm to get the ES moving.  Dave was
standing about 15 feet from the runway edge when he shot the high
       speed
taxi run.  Engine reached about 5,000 rpm and 31 MAP.  Coolant
    (50/50
glycol-water) temperature reached 214 degrees F at shutdown.

I am currently installing a radiator misting system, using a 12
       volt RV
water pump which will produce 40-45 psi, to permit operation
    on hot
          days.

          More later.

       Tom,
Great video.  You've sure come a long way with your baby.  She sounds
great, and looks even better.  How's the turbo holding up?  How many
hours do you have on it now?  If you're flying through Texas,
    give me a
call and I'll treat you for some finger-licking-good Texas BBQ.

    Paul,
Where is Mark S. in Texas?  I am in central Tx and would like to look at
his 20B installation.  Or if he could post some pics for all of us.

Mark is in Austin. His airplane is at Lockhart. Best to go through
    Rankin and
pick up 10 fast :) I drove more direct and it took me all day :)

Dave,
Yes, Paul has some pictures he took of my airplane when he was passing
through Texas on his way to SNF.  Anyway, here are a few more.  I think
there is a You Tube video of it too.

Mark

Here is the you tube video on Marks normally aspirated Mazda 3 rotor
powered airplane. Everybody tune in and give it 5 stars.
