 Do you have a picture of the 2 Powersport powered RV's that were
 featured at Oshkosh a few years back?  They also competed against Lyc
 powered RV's for an article in Kitplanes I  believe.

The Powersport planes outperformed the Lyc powered ones, but they were noisy
and burned more fuel doing it.

The test was not really a fair comparison, because the Powersport planes
could not lean out their fuel mixtures, as did the Lycs.  We have come a
long way; we have found that the Rotary loves lean mixtures and that it IS
possible to tame the noise.  Funny how misperceptions persist within the
Lycoming crowd.  I believe one of the original Powersport planes used in the
comparison has been lost.

Ironically Lycoming tells people not to lean the engines. Your warrantee will
be void. I just had a check flight in a C172 and that subject came up.
Also while we are on the Lycoming subject some people think you can run auto gas
in any aircraft engine and that too is untrue. Recent engines like
my O-470 S or U (I forget which) requires 100LL due to the 10:1 compression
ratio. Advantage rotary.
