I added the fuel flow output and incorporated what
I learned in the past weeks about the low cost ($17)
ABS sensor trigger. Next step is do another PC
board layout with a few more diodes on it to condition
the ABS wave form to that required of the 555.
The fuel flow parts do not have to be populated on
all four injector boards. One will do and you can scale
the voltage to reflect total fuel flow in GPH.
This is an extraordinarily simple EFI system.
No troublesome software to adjust.
I have settled on the roller vane Airtex fuel pump.
Low cost ($55) with plenty of suction. The Walbro
is good too. A bit pricey.
The ignition is pretty much designed as well
but it needs some detail work. I am going with
high power outboard motor parts as they combine the e-shaft
alternator with the CD ignition system and use the same ABS
sensors to trigger. Also proven good to 7000 RPM. Coils can
be just about anything but 2nd gen RX7 are very good.
Removed from the igniter frame as the igniter is not used.
Also old fashion oil filled coils are very cheap new ($30)
and have a zillion years of development and wide spread
use.
Timing will be simple slotted plate mechanical so the
timing can be retarded if necessary to help
starting.
