  Chris,
With your skills you could have made one up - still not
to late, we
  need
people working on the single. You could put a nice little
turbo on
  it and
get 150 hp on a single turboed PP.
  George ( down under)

Hi George,

I just got (today) news on the newer version of the Ecoflyer (not SLA
version but the new Expiremental version).  Gross weight of 1,800lbs
with a 150HP.  Mate kept it up...

A turbo compound one rotor PP engine with light weight metal and proper
combustion chamber(square), compounding heat (bottoming cycle) AND
compounding kinetic energy  (NASA said 20%) would give who many HP?  I
do not know.  Paul?

Aixro did a supercharged 100HP one rotor CHARGED COOLED TBO 400hours
with a combustion chamber volume of 294ccm without kinetic energy and
without bottoming cycle.  Dang!

I think I will go go with an hybrid with a 500lbs+ battery and pay
$5,000 to replace it after 5 or 6 years.  Dang again!  I joined this
group because.  I gave up, a long time ago, on hybrid/batteries.
Turbocompoud rotary engine is the most LOGICAL/EFFICIENT solution.  Two
and half years ago, I selected a rotary engine for my aircraft before I
selected an aircraft model.

I respect all messages.  But I would like to read more on
turbocompouding messages related to kinetic energy and bottoming cycle.
PP is good.  Compouding kinetic energy with heat energy is a push
forward in efficiency.

So George, according with NASA 150HP turbo PP with kinetic energy could
be 180HP and what about the heat? 200, 210, 220 or more HP.  On just one
rotor.  Dang!  Did you know Scott?
