My Eee PC is quite readable in direct sunlight.
It ought to do just fine
inside the shielded cockpit.  I met up with a friend last weekend that
showed me his inflight weather.  He uses a laptop with an external
touchscreen which is mounted on the panel.  He's running QuickRadar s/w
available free from VFR Copilot (vfrcopilot.com).  It downloads weather
from
National Weather Service sites.  They have a more powerful subscription
version available for $99/yr.

So, now to figure out how to load Windows XP onto my Eee PC.  Mike, can you
post the URL for Asus web board where you found the installation
instructions?
