I recently purchased a pair of NA rotors to replace the lower compression
turbo rotors. What is one to look for in inspecting them for
serviceability.
I noticed in the web around the center bearing there are some markings in
the casting that could be cracks or artifacts from the manufacturing
process.
I'll try to take some close up photos to post later.
Any help is appreciated.

Paul had dated the engine to 89-92 range, the fuel injectors were red,
someone mentioned that was another method to date it. I'm too inexperienced
to fine tune it further, and no one else has offered any hints to narrow it
down.
I'll be going out to the hangar later today, to proceed with further tear
down. If there is anything I can photograph for you, let me know.

Getting back to the original topic of the post, since no one is addressing
it, and I have not heard any mention of cracking in rotors on this list,
I'll assume that I'm looking at artifacts of the casting cores inside the
rotor web that supports the center bearing. If anyone has any other
information, I'd sure appreciate to hear it. It's a very difficult spot to
photograph, and very low contrast surface.

The turbocharger base bolt pattern will tell all. Manifold side.
