Chinglish. Yes good one:) Now you know the adventure I've had for 30
years trying to decipher Japlish in technical product manuals. The $45
sale price worries me. Too cheap. This is probably a rip off of the
rip off with a production price under $10.00. That means inferior
magnetic steel and not neo dynium boron magnets. Just for your
information. Japanese factories work on a 15% margin for mass
produced
goods. Sometimes less but that is in cases where the factory is
part of
a conglomerate or association. Toyota and Denso relationship for
instance. Toyota squeezes all their down-line suppliers HARD.
China factories out the door margins are lower because the middle
men are
many and they squeeze the production people something HARDER.
Ultimately
the line workers carry the brunt of the pain and are lucky if they get
paid regularly.
BTW I thought perhaps a magento like this could be used as one of two
power sources (the other multiple CD) that would Y into the leading
spark plugs. The timing advance issue concerns me however. Perhaps
the
magneto charging an ultra-capacitor that is regulated to fire the plug
in concert with the other ignition system might work.
One half rpms at the distributor housing rpms aren't such an issue
because this unit wouldn't be needed to actually start the engine.

1) Knock-off of a knock-off? ... Probably. I think coils and magnets
are easy to extensively test before relying upon them. As I said
before, I'd prototype & test with the CC igniter, but would probably
build or buy a quality unit for flying.
2) Speaking of Toyota/Denso. My official project is the PWM EFI fuel
pump. I am researching various parts now (fuel pressure sensor, EFI
fuel pumps, etc.). I am kinda a loyal Toyota guy (due to their
reliability), and would prefer to base the design on Toyota/Denso
parts. Do you have specific knowledge or references that you could
recommend candidate part numbers? Right now I am researching FORD (!)
fuel pressure sensors that Larry recommended.
3) I doubt that a "simple Y" into the spark plugs will work, as a dead/
shorted coil will probably take out its "Y'd neighbor" too. I'm not
the high voltage expert, but I think redundancy ends at the ignition
coil's INPUT. We can only "Y" up to the ignition coils, not after.
(Someone check me on this.)
4) Does the 12A/13B/Renesis distributor rotate at 1/2 RPM? I thought
they ran at full engine speed. (Someone check me on this, too.)

No Vince 1/2 RPM. They are about useless and they have been removed
from the 3rd gen on through the RX8. They were necessary way back in the
old days when distributors were still used. Mazda held them over for the
2nd gen when they did not need them.

info. Anything over here is in Japanese, or Japlish.
On point three, yes you are right.
