Couple of questions:
Since there are fewer fasteners compared to the bed type mount, has
the proper engineering been done with regards to positive and
negative G loads to insure that it is compatible with the airframe
(RV) limits?
Have you manufactured a mount for an RV-7 yet?
It looks wide in the front.  I�m concerned about the ability to use
a narrower (Sam James) cowl.
Do you have a ballpark figure regarding cost including oilpan?

Hi Bryan,I have built a couple of RV7A engine mounts but no RV7.  I have also
built a couple of RV4 engine mounts.  I will include jpegs of the RV-4.
The mounts are engineered by Paul Lamar--I do no design work.  I can
say with confidence that he has done all the math and that you do not
need to be concerned about the structural capacity.

The S-beam can be made any width but the longer it is the better in
terms of resisting engine torque.  Naturally the RV 4 engine mount would
be much narrower than the RV-7.  Several of my engine mounts have been
put inside of a James' cowl.  The best way to proceed is for you to
determine the width of James' current cowl and we will build
accordingly.I will have to check price and availability of the RV-7
gear mount.  It's cost is additional to the basic engine mount/oil pan
which is $1650.00.  This includes powder coating.
