Paul,
I have slipped off of the scene for 4 years in order to complete my
doctorate in Strategic Leadership. I am finished now and need to get
back into building my plane (Glasair SuperII FT). I still plan on
installing a rotary in my plane, and am sure that much has changed in
terms of what's been done (from an engineering perspective) and tested.
I was thinking about the 13B P-ported to get upwards of 250 hp. Is this
still the best option or is it better to look into the 16B? Has the
slide throttle been tested?
Anyway, I appreciate your help in these matters. I would like to
subscribe to the forum using the above listed address.
By the way, did you not say at one time that the Miata was designed to
receive a 13B? Just wondering....

RX8 P-port is definitely the way to go. The latest is a welded in stainless
steel tube. See our video at:

We just came up with some ideas for sealing the
outer water jacket with an O-ring. I am working on a 3D for that.
The 16B may never appear. Yes I did but the rotary powered
Miata never happened for some strange reason.
BTW Now that Pontiac is gone and GM is half owned by you and I and
run by the US Government sports cars are not green so competition from
the Saturn Sky will disappear. So too the rest of GM eventually for
that matter. I cannot imagine a car company effectively run by a
government. Did not happen in Russia or anywhere else. There is
no reason to believe it will happen hear.
