I wish to subscribe to your newsletter as I hope to continue to learn
more about this domain.

I am just starting to build a Kolb Mark III Xtra, and really like the
low weight and power output of the rotary engines, coupled with the
exponentially simple design...this has to equate to much higher
reliability.  Ideally I need 80-100 HP engine for my Kolb, a pusher
configuration, and am researching success stories of those who have done
so already on other aircraft, as I am green to engines, and a newbee to
rotary engines.

I have been looking on the web, and am quite surprised that I do not
really see anyone using the rotary.  Everything you have written makes
sense, so there seems to be a significant disconnect in the community,
or those who have already been successful deploying a rotary are not
sharing that info.....  I did find a few Companies that talk about a
rotary engine, but there is no real product they are selling.

Do you know if there are any books out there for someone in my position
"an idiot's guide to installing a rotary engine in experimental
aircraft" or something close to that.

Thanks, keep up the good work Sir as it does help those in quest for
knowledge like myself.

Tracy Crook has a book for two rotor Mazda engines but not suitable for the
100 HP range. Too heavy.

There is not much in the way of 100 HP rotaries just yet. Several
European companies are working on suitable engines in that HP range.
Diamond, AKA Austro Engines have a aircraft certified 2 rotor 100 HP engine
but for some strange reason they are not marketing it. They do market
a 50 HP one rotor version and are working on a 75 HP one rotor engine.
They have sold over four hundred 50 HP one rotor engines for motor gliders.

Several people on here are working on one rotor version of the
Mazda engine with aluminum end housing to cut the weight.
Richard Sohn is the furtherst along. No web site as far as I know.
