IMHO this is a terrible idea. It introduces complications of pitch trim
vs power, including the possibility of driving the nose up past pitch
bucking into a mainplane stall, that you don't want to deal with.

I am surprised. You are starting to sound like the FAA Peter :) All
things in moderation. A couple of degrees is not going to be
catastrophic. Yes there are problems. Nothing works right off the bat.
There will be some high altitude R&D. Perhaps tying the thrust vector
angle to the stick angle. There is also the fly by wire computer option.
For example sense things and limit the effect. Sense the power and a
bunch of other things.

This is not kit or plans built airplanes. This is the real EAA :) You
said as much yourself in several articles.

Paul is absolutely right... If I do this, it will be thoroughly tested
at High Altitude before trying anything near the ground.  This is what
experimental is all about.  I'm hoping for improved T/O and Landing
performance... Maybe even enable me to swing a little bigger prop.  The
system has two separate interlocks (one Mechanical and one Hydraulic) as
well as mechanical stops to prevent the engine from over rotating...
Will probably start out with limiting the Pitch to ~2 deg and expand the
envelop from there.
