Hey all you rotary guys in the Portland area.
Lets have a mini flyin at Steve Beckham's place.
What is a good week end?
Paul Lamar
I can drive over in my RX-7!
Steve is in an airpark with a short grass runway.
Aurora UAO is nearby. That is where I was flying into almost daily when
I was commuting to work by airplane summer 06 and 07.
Perry
Waiting to hear from Steve, Ken and Kevin.

Paul:
I'm contemplating flying my Lancair ES up Portland way sometime in the
next
couple months, whenever all the planets are in proper alignment. What
time
frame are you thinking?
Also, does anyone remember the name of the Oregon airport that was
reported
as handling straight mogas without Ethanol? I can't find my reference.
Tom Parkes
Hi Tom,
It's Lebanon State,
http://www.airnav.com/airport/S30
My home base had it last summer but didn't advertize. KMMV. Call the
FBO
there to see if they still have it.
Perry
Dang. I stopped there last summer in the 182 and didn't pick any up -
suckered into buying 100ll instead - the pumps at Lebanon were down so
I went over to Albany to pick up fuel. If I go back over to pick
berries again this summer I'll check it out.
Thanks,
Matt-
How about a week from this weekend.
If you flyin to some other close by airport because you can't land at
Steve's grass strip call me on my cell and I can pick you up.

Steve,
Please mark your strip on this map and send it
back.
Paul Lamar
You guys talking about Lenhardt [7S9] in Hubbard?

It's Dietz Airpark (Pvt), directly east of UAO, almost off of the picture.
Mike
Mike & Diana
..at large somewhere on the planet..
Thanks Mike.
If I had to use just a sectional I would never find it :)
Sectionals should be replaced by google maps :)
Paul Lamar
Appears my calendar is in shambles due to some family issues
with my parents (90 and living at home). I have to go back east
and deal with this stuff so won't be able to do planned N.W.
rotary fly-in here any time soon. The earliest possible date
that works here is around the July 8-12 window of the big EAA
Arlington, WA fly-in. We could muster here whatever day works
best for everybody (Wed/Thurs or Fri) then fly up to Arlington
next day. Other option would be we postpone until this time
next year so that Brian and others will have their projects in
the air to have more in attendance. And it would give us time to
organize some presentations by members of the group...have guys
organize reviews of their projects and bring background photos,
etc. of related areas. For example, Perry's project included
building a custom composite propeller from scratch. That and
other details from his projects would be great. Ditto Tom and
his Lancair and others. What think?
Steve Beckham
Well I could stop in prior to Arlington.
Anybody planning on going to Arlington with a rotary?
Perry ? Tom? Ken? I could drop in at Brian's as well and get
some more pictures.
Paul Lamar
I would be up for it but my plane don't do short grass strips, yes
I think I will be at Arlington this year.
Ken
