Do you have any 12 volt to 220 volt power inverters
about 400 watts?

Heres one for 41.00 and 400 watts
Wade
Good work Wade. I just ordered one.
I can put my 110 volt unit back together while it still works :)
I don't know why I did not think of this years
ago. You can have two in the aircraft. If one quits
you can plug in the other.
Paul Lamar
Excellent - now thats redundancy.
Will you be setting this up in parallel or bank switched like in battery selectors?
Wade Bush
Yes a battery selector type switch is possible. The inverter itself
is totally unmodified so any brand will work. In fact this ignition
system would work if you plugged it into a wall outlet :)
The capacitor switching circuits will be modular. One PC board per rotor.
This to accommodate three or four rotor engines.

Paul,
How to control spark advance at different rpms and boost levels?
Doug in Japan
The crank angle sensor holder ring could be mechanically rotated much like the
spark advance on a Model T.
However I don't recommend this way of doing it for a turbo engine.
You need a computer for other things so you might as well do it
in software. Not easy but it can be done. If I were doing it
I would add 8 hardware interrupts to the Motorola MegaSquirt chip and interrupt
the back ground program every ten e-shaft degrees. This requires one 8 bit
parallel port to control the 8 additional interrupts.
Then all one need do is count interrupts after 40 degrees before dead center
in software knowing when to fire the plug again. You will need a 36 tooth
trigger ring with another trigger ring indicating 40 degrees or so before top
dead center. Something that looks like an RX8 trigger ring. One sensor for
the 36 teeth and another for top dead center is the easy way to do it.
This is a classic example of a bit of hardware/software trade off.
I am amazed that no single chip computer company is offering
multiple hardware interrupts like this. Makes writing real time
software control systems much much easier. Almost trivial. I invented
this 25 years ago and used it on my SuperKim computer board design.
In fact I presented a tech paper to the IEEE on this design.
