How many people on here are using Vista?

 I'm running XP, but my laptop is dying (screen crumped out this
weekend, I'm limping along on an external monitor) and when I
buy a new laptop I'll probably be using Vista.  I don't want
to--I hate it (and Office 2007, all of which I must use at
work).  I might try a dual-boot Linx setup (Ubantu?), but my
last experience when going down that road was not good.

You might have trouble with Linux on a lap top.
Laptop hardware is very diverse.
It is best to buy it pre installed on a Dell
or some such.
